Deanna Knighton serves as Made in Durham’s career development specialist, helping Durham Futures students to develop career plans and prepare for careers. Deanna works with students and staff at Durham Futures partner sites like AAD to develop career development activities and coordinate work-based learning experiences.
She previously served as a career specialist at Wake Technical Community College and is an adjunct instructor in the college’s accounting department. Prior to that, she was a career services graduate assistant at William Peace University and graduate student intern at NC State University. Deanna has a Master of Education from NC State and both graduate and undergraduate degrees from the University of Florida, and she is a community college alumna.
